Football always is fun and exciting, it gets even better when it comes to the Premier League which kicks off on the 12th of this month. The first matchday features an early one where the Gunners take on the newly promoted London club Fulham followed by the Saints on an away trip to the south London club Crystal Palace. Newly promoted Leeds take on their rivals and defending champions Liverpool in Anfield. The final match of the day is the one that features West Ham hosting Newcastle United. Sunday comes up with some really good matches featuring promoted West Brom hosting Leicester City, the Toffees away at Spurs, a cracked between the Blades and Wolves with the final game where the Blues visit the Amex stadium All the clubs have made notable investments in their team and it will really hard to pick out who comes out on top. But here is my opinion on some of the key places on who will come out on top and who is set to suffer  Who will be the champions? In my opinion, Liverpool will r

Replacing Mesut at Arsenal?

W hen Arsenal Mesut Ozil from Real Madrid back in 2014, the feeling that Arsenal fans would have had was that they are gonna compete for league titles and champions league. Fast forward to 2020, most fans want Ozil out of the squad and winning a FA Cup makes them happy shows how much the club has declined. One area Arsenal clearly lack apart from defense is creating chances. The penultimate league game against Aston Villa where they could not open up the highly compact Aston Villa back-line showed Arsenal need more than perseverance and desire. Since Ozil's more unlikely to feature again and his contract is to be over by the end of the 2021 season, Arsenal will be in hurry to land an established attacking midfielder or an immensely talented prospect. Let us look at some of the options available at Arsenal's disposal with their limited budget. WILLIAN      Arsenal signed Willian on a free transfer with eyebrows raised from the Gooners as they have seen failed transfers o

Why Arsenal should not sell Ainsley Maitland Niles

M aitland Niles got into some kind of trouble when Arteta came in, claiming he wants to play in his natural position and he doesn't like playing as a fullback. But with all respect to Bellerin, Niles is the best full-back option available at Arsenal. He is so versatile that he can be adapted to both sides of the defence. When he was dropped against Chelsea's game at Stamford Bridge, everyone would have raised their brows and asked why was he dropped. Guendouzi is one more youngster who fell into the pecking order and it seems like Arteta wants him out. But in the case of Maitland Niles, it's different he has gained his spot back and it's better to have him rather than the likes of Kolasinac and Cedric. Niles is fast, more composed and gives a better attacking threat going forward also. Let us look at his tactical profile under Arteta Defensive Role: Niles started to come off the bench after Bellerin became the first choice right back. One of his standout performanc

Whats next for Arsenal: Potential XI

With the dreadful season finally over Arsenal will try to add some quality additions to the side if they don't want to repeat what they did this season. The first one Arsenal need to look on will be committing Captain Aubameyang. Take away his 22 goals this season Arsenal would have just survived relegation which ultimately says that extending Aubameyang's contract should be their top priority. So let's look at the potential XI that will Arsenal land if they get their transfers right Goalkeeper: (Leno/Martinez)  This is the one position Arsenal can look and say our backup is as good as our number one. Leno kept Arsenal in most of the games and without his crucial saves in some games, Arsenal could have been in a really bad position. The away game at Brighton was a knife to the heart not because of the loss, but more because of losing Leno to a bad injury and tough games to come by. But Martinez proved to be a much better back up goalkeeper. He ended the season with the mos

Arsenal: Season Review

Hi fellow Gooners, this is my first try at blogging. I hope that you all will like the piece which I have made. Hope, the word that every Arsenal fan actually regrets to have in their life. The start of the 2019-20 season should have given hopes to every Arsenal fan to believe that they can challenge for something more valuable but little did they know what they are gonna get. The matchday 5 extensively showed what Arsenal are about, they conceded twice to throw away a 2-0 lead against a Watford side who got annihilated by Manchester City 8-0 in Ethiad the following week. Arsenal from that match started to concede more shots than they take, they lacked in creativity going forward and defended like they don't know what defending is. A sequence of drawn games at home and throwing away the lead after scoring two goals, relying on set-pieces to score goals is something that we were never used to see from Arsenal before. Things got more heated when the then club captain Xhaka exchanged
